Why updating matters more for HiTV than most apps
Streaming apps talk to servers, and servers change. When HiTV updates its backend, older app versions can lose the ability to load the library or play certain titles. If HiTV worked yesterday and shows endless loading today, an outdated version is the first thing to rule out, before blaming your internet.
Your account, watch history, and My List are stored server-side, so updating (even uninstalling and reinstalling) never loses them. Downloaded offline episodes are the exception; a full reinstall clears those.
Updating on Android
If you installed from Google Play
Nothing to do. Play updates HiTV automatically. To force it, open the Play listing and tap Update if the button shows.
If you installed the APK
Updating on Windows PC
The desktop client checks for updates on launch and prompts you when a new version ships; accept and it handles itself. The Microsoft Store version updates through the Store like any other app. If a prompt never appears and the app misbehaves, download the current installer from the download page and run it over the existing install.
Updating on Fire TV, Android TV, and Google TV
Sideloaded apps don't self-update, so the routine is: run the code again, install over the top.

Updating the mod version
The modified build updates on its own schedule, usually some days after the official release. New versions are posted to the same Telegram channel. Because mod updates are also signed differently from official ones, always install a mod update over the previous mod, never over an official install.
"My version stopped working": a quick checklist
- Update first. Grab the current build for your platform as described above. This alone fixes the majority of sudden failures.
- Restart the device. Boring advice that regularly works, especially on TV sticks that stay in standby for weeks.
- Clear the app cache. On Android and TV: long-press the app icon → App info → Storage → Clear cache. Don't clear data unless you're fine signing in again.
- Still stuck? Work through the troubleshooting guide, which covers server errors, region issues, and DNS problems in more depth.
