Why we built this
Ask around any Asian drama community and you'll hear the same complaint: finding correct, current information about the HiTV app is harder than it should be. Download links scattered across forum threads, TV install instructions that skip the one step that actually matters, and "fixes" copied between sites without anyone testing them. We got tired of that, so we made the site we wished existed.
Everything here serves one purpose: get HiTV working on your device with the least friction, and keep it working.
How we work
Before a guide goes up, we run the steps ourselves on real hardware: Android phones, a Windows laptop, a Fire TV Stick, and a Chromecast with Google TV. When the app updates in a way that changes a step, we revise the page and update its date. The dates on our guides mean something.
We also read what users report in communities and forums. The troubleshooting guide exists because the same handful of problems come up again and again, and most of them have two-minute fixes nobody writes down.
What we are not
We're not the developer of HiTV and we don't host any content. This is an independent documentation site: think of it as an unofficial manual. The full boundaries are in our disclaimer, and our house rules live in the terms of service.
Corrections welcome
If a step stopped matching the app, a link broke, or a fix didn't fix, tell us through the contact page. Reader reports have improved these guides more than anything else, and we credit good catches where it makes sense.
