Who we are
hitv-apps.com is an independent informational website about the HiTV application. This policy covers this website only. The HiTV app itself is operated by its own developer and has its own privacy policy, shown inside the app; what you do in the app is between you and them.
What we collect
This is a static site. There are no accounts, no comment forms, and nothing to sign up for, so we don't ask for your name, email, or anything else. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider records standard server logs: IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time of visit. We use these only for security and to keep the site running, and they rotate out automatically.
Analytics
If we use a traffic analytics tool, it sees aggregate information: which pages get visited, roughly where visitors come from, and what devices they use. We look at this to understand which guides help people. We don't attempt to identify individual visitors and we don't sell or share traffic data with anyone.
Cookies
The site itself sets no cookies of its own. Third-party services we load, such as web fonts or an analytics script, may set their own; the cookie policy lists them and explains how to block cookies in your browser without breaking the site.
External links and downloads
We link to external destinations including HiTV's official servers, Google Play, the Microsoft Store, and Telegram. Once you leave this site, those services' own privacy policies apply. Download links marked as official point to files hosted by the app developer, not by us.
Children
This site is general-audience informational content and does not knowingly collect any information from children. Since we collect essentially nothing from anyone, there is nothing to collect from minors either.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (GDPR in Europe, CCPA in California, and similar laws elsewhere), you may have rights to access or delete personal data. Because we hold no personal data about visitors beyond transient server logs, there is usually nothing to retrieve, but you're welcome to ask.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site works in a way that affects privacy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes get a note on the homepage.
